1. What this extension does

pon-tabkeep saves the URLs, titles and tab-group info of your open tabs so you can restore them later.

2. What we do not collect

• No personal information (name, email, etc.)
• No browsing-history collection or transmission
• No telemetry or analytics inside the extension

3. What is stored, and where

Stored data consists of the tabs you save (URL, title, tab-group info), automatic snapshots, and your settings — kept in your device's browser storage (chrome.storage.local / IndexedDB). Only if you use the sync or share features (section 4) is a copy also stored on our server (sync data is stored encrypted).

4. Network connections

The extension connects to the network in exactly three cases — beyond these, it never sends your saved data or personal information anywhere.

• Ad display: the ad frame (iframe) at the bottom of the manager page connects to the ad provider. These requests never include your saved tabs, browsing history or personal information.
• Sync (optional): your saved tabs are sent or received only when you enter a passphrase in Settings and press "Save to server" or "Load from server". Data is encrypted on your device before sending — the server can read neither the content nor the passphrase. Data is auto-deleted after 90 days without updates. Anyone who knows the passphrase can read and write this data, so use a long, hard-to-guess passphrase.
• Share links (optional): only when you confirm "Share as link" on a saved group, the URLs and titles of that group's tabs are sent and stored on our server. Anyone with the link can view them. Shares expire automatically after 30 days (permanent shares are not available) and can be deleted from the server at any time via "Delete share".

This policy will be updated before any change to this behavior.

5. Deleting your data

You can delete groups and tabs from the manager page. Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data from your device.

6. Permissions

• tabs: save and restore tab URLs and titles
• tabGroups: save and restore tab-group names, colors and collapsed state
• storage / unlimitedStorage: keep saved data and snapshot generations on your device
• contextMenus: provide the icon's right-click menu
• alarms: schedule periodic snapshots and weekly backups
• downloads: write backup and export files
• bookmarks (optional): requested on the spot only if you choose bookmark import

No host permissions are requested. No remote code is executed.

7. Analytics

The pon-tabkeep website (pon-tabkeep.com) uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage. Google Analytics uses cookies to identify users but does not collect personally identifying information. Data is processed according to Google's privacy policy. The extension itself does not use it.

8. Ads

The ad frame at the bottom of the extension's manager page, and shared pages on this website (pon-tabkeep.com/s/), display ads served by a third-party ad network (Adsterra). Ads are rendered in an iframe isolated from the extension, and the extension never passes tab data, browsing history or personal information to the ad provider. No other page of this site carries ads.
